Briefcases, Golf Bags Helping U.S. Stay Safe |
|
http://www.theiowachannel.com/news/2749013/detail.htmlYou'll love this!! It sounds like something from a James Bond movie. Briefcases and golf bags are among the special equipment enlisted in the government's hunt for so-called dirty bombs and other terrorist weapons.
The bags are being used to conceal high-tech equipment used by nuclear experts walking the streets of at least four major cities: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and Washington.

Well, I wouldn't feel very safe beside somebody waving a Geiger counter around ticking away merrily...

(I'm not slamming NYC; this is definitely true in all the American cities with which I'm familiar.)

Helping Americans to stay safe.
The government reported that several other metonymic signs of upper middle class status, including briefcases and golf bags and SUVs with 49 payments remaining, have helped lull terrorists into a false sense of security. Among the effects, says an unnamed State Department source, is a mysterious longing for low fat frozen yogurt, and a strange attachment to children's "play dates." Also on the list of new weapons are repaved driveways, kid's birthday parties at the local Chuck-E-Cheez, and a deep and murderous envy of the neighbors lawn.
