U.S. Plays Down Withdrawal of Iraq Weapons Team
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Reuters) - The White House on Thursday played down the withdrawal from Iraq (news - web sites) of a 400-member military team specializing in the disposal of weapons of mass destruction.

Scott McClellan, spokesman for President Bush, said that even though the disposal team was leaving, the group focused on hunting weapons was remaining in Iraq.

"The Iraq Survey Group continues to do its work," McClellan told reporters aboard Air Force One. Bush was en route to Tennessee for an event on school reform and a fund-raiser.

I seem to recall Bush & Co. saying with glee last year that the WMD report they were producing would show the real story. I guess they were right.

No WMD, just one bloody and expensive war.

2. I remember them saying that they KNEW where the WMD could
be found. I hope some day these people pay for all the death and destruction they've caused.

3. where is "an authority" suggesting the errors of judgement and lies made
by this admin.

Where are the senators sharing how they were told abotu nuclear bomb capability in 45 minutes (this is documented in florida paper).

Where is the media follow-up and holding anyone accountable for all the death and destruction of a country?

4. I don't know
if Knoxvillians believe the story of WMDs or not. Knox Co. has always been so Republican the citizens have an "R" on the back of their heads. I hate it when the Blowhard comes to my state. How can anyone believe anything he says? I fear the media will let the no WMDs slide right over the public.
