9/11 panelists eye Bush, Bill
9/11 panelists
eye Bush, Bill
By JAMES GORDON MEEK
DAILY NEWS WASHINGTON BUREAU
WASHINGTON - The federal 9/11 commission has formally decided to ask
President Bush and former President Bill Clinton to meet with the panel and to
extend its investigation by several months.

Vice President Cheney and former Clinton veep Al Gore also would be called, a
spokesman told the Daily News yesterday.

Chairman Thomas Kean and Vice Chairman Lee Hamilton will approach the four
men, said spokesman Alvin Felzenberg. The request to appear is just that, a
request, and not a legal subpoena.

Felzenberg said if Bush and Clinton agree, the sessions likely won't be in public. It
was unclear yesterday whether any of the four would agree to show.

1. Clinton and Gore will show
Bush and Dr. Evil will not. The public won't care. It's all getting depressingly predictable.

9. You're exactly right
Clinton and Gore will cooperate. Bush and Cheney will refuse. But that won't be the spin. All the public will see is that Clinton and Gore are being questioned and Bush and Cheney are not, so they must not have to answer for anything.

(By the way, what kind of a headline is this? "Bush and Bill"? Why not "George and President Clinton"? And I don't think "veep" is appropriate to use in a serious news story either.)

He won't even answer responsively when he isn't under oath.

4. Look at the last sentence in the article.
The White House proposed greenlighting the extension if the commission would agree to release the report after the November election, but then officials pulled back the offer, Newsweek reported yesterday.

These people are just so predictable. Too much chance something will leak, and they can't take that risk, is it, Karl? The noose is tightening.

6. God, what a contrast THAT would be...

Clinton would launch off into long, off-the-cuff analyses of past and current terrorism threats and techniques along with a detailed history of what his and other Administrations had done to counter those threats...

* would sit there and fidget nervously (if he's not sedated again) and occassionally spout out "Terrah!" and "9/11!" in response to questions.

7. If Bush denies the request........what then?
Maybe people will catch on to the fact that he's hiding something.

8. I think they investigate Thomas Kean and his business ventures
http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO212A.html

Now you would think that being a business partner of the brother in law and alleged financier of "Enemy No. 1" would be considered a bona fide "conflict of interest", particularly when your mandate --as part of the 9/11 Commission's work-- is to investigate "Enemy No. 1".

Perhaps Clinton & Gore know a few things that this administration isn't aware of - So do you think this is anything other than just fancy talk to put the sheep to sleep?

10. Sit down over here, Mr. Chimpy
I've got some questions to ask you.

Tape rolling? OK, let's start with this "thing" you have about pet goat books. Are they really more important than the safety of Washington and the Pentagon?

Please explain your actions on 9/11 in 1,000 words or less.

Thank you very much.

There will be follow-up questions. Lots of them.
