Asian technology ministers discuss outsourcing
I suspect that we will see more Asian governments to conduct some heavy lobbying for mo' US jobs!

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/7690023.htm

HYDERABAD, India - India lobbied its neighbors and business rivals Monday to jointly resist a backlash in America and other developed nations over companies shifting software and customer service jobs to Asia.

"This is a matter of concern for all of us," Indian Communications and Information Technology Minister Arun Shourie told ministers and technology officials from 30 Asian countries who gathered in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad for a two-day summit.

Scores of Western companies in recent years have moved jobs in software development, chip design, and back office services to Asia, especially India, to benefit from lower wages. The summit is discussing how to attract even more of this work from the United States and Europe.

Job losses in the United States from this trend have angered unions there, and some U.S. states are considering legislation to protect local jobs.

"We must come together to find a consensus approach to fight this backlash," Shourie said.

Tax penalties for US companies that off-shore US jobs (especially those US companies that may be based in the Cayman or Bahama Islands)!

1. Double Anger

What doubly angers me is that they presume they have the right to influence domestic US Policy. They have nothing to fear as long as Bush is in the White House.

Shit, I'm not even sure if the Democrats have the balls to fight for US Jobs anymore. Some big shakeup is going to happen eventually. Bush better have his electronic voting machines (Clepto-Vote) in place in time for the public to realize what these creeps are doing to the US.

2. It may be only a matter of time before ...
... Diebold et.al. starts offshoring coders for their e-voting systems. Be afraid, freaking afraid when Chinese coders take over e-voting programs.
