6. that'll be interesting |
|
possibilities: -Galileo -Iraqi debt -troops for Afghanistan - re: O'Neill: "STFU" - EADS vs. Boeing (Airbus maker wanted to move production to the USA) - nothing; they realized that the Dollar will stop any European bid anyway. With less diplomatic fallout.

11. Junior wants our airspace for his missile "defence" *cough* |
|
. . . While Paul Martin hasn't promised anything definite that we dumm voters are aware of,
I think that the Texacutioner's next dream is missiles flyin' over Canada,
and everywhere else for that matter.
Unless of course, Martin is makin' deals with our water, oil, hydro ?
naaah, The BFEE don't need that stuff - (much)
But rest assured,
IF us Canuks get a contract of any real value
We better "grease up" and bend over!

There's a tremendous amount of money to be made rebuilding Iraq's infrastructure, particularly in the telecommunications field. Just the business for Nortel alone would be worth the effort.
Martin isn't making any deals for water, oil or hydro that I know of.
Getting in on the Missile Defence Shield shenanegans would be great. We all know it would never work. Dubya apparently hasn't figured it out. There's money to be made spending years of years of research to prove what we already know. You can't shoot down a bullet with a bullet. Let's let Dubya spend that money in Canada.

9. I'm So Sure that the Bidding Process Will Be Completely Fair, |

Transparent and objective and that only the most qualified bids will be accepted and that those country's will be given the same equal consideration that Halliburton and Bechtel get. :eyes:

10. As a Canadian I would prefer we didn't bother |
|
First off, the farther we stay out of anything to do with an illegal war, the better. Second, Canadian taxpayers will end up ponying up the money that is being bid on anyway, so there is no net advantage to the country, even from this limited financial perspective. I guess we are beginning to see what Paul Martin is made of, and it may not be that good.
