Critics call new Canada-U.S. agreement 'window dressing'
MONTERREY, MEXICO - Prime Minister Paul Martin says a new understanding with Washington goes beyond any agreement the U.S. has with any other country. Martin calls the agreement "unprecedented."

"In Maher's case he was afforded the right of access, he saw counsel, but that didn't stop him being removed to Syria."

And, Watt says, the understanding adds little to the requirements already laid down in the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, an international treaty the U.S. signed more than 30 years ago.

Guess where I ain't going. Now international conventions don't cover a Canadian in the US. All you can expect is a letter.

Bye bye.

Hope other countries hear about this special deal!
