Connecticut to Begin Impeachment Probe of Governor

HARTFORD, Conn. (Reuters) - Connecticut lawmakers will begin an impeachment probe of Republican Gov. John Rowland amid corruption allegations, a move that could lead to his ouster, the speaker of the state House of Representatives said on Wednesday.

Democratic House Speaker Moira Lyons told reporters of her decision to launch the probe after she met privately with Rowland, who has been accused of accepting free renovations on his lakeside cottage from contractors who were also working for the state.

I'll admit I don't know much about his case but I was sort of routing for the guy to hang in there. But after his comment about being careful to bring forth impeachment or else other lawmakers deeds will come to light. I thought, what an arrogant ahole.
