We sure did one hell of a job liberating the women of Afghanistan, didn't we? I am so fucken proud to be an American that I almost wet my pants thinking about it!

How many of you are aware that when the Marxists ran Afghanistan, women and girls had full civil rights and enjoyed getting an education and pursuing careers?

America decided to back people like Osama bin Laden and Mullah Omar because in our eyes socialism was worse than fundamentalism. How little did anyone know that the seeds for 9/11 were planted when we gave Stinger missiles to the Mujahadim.

Afghanistan's Supreme Court has protested against the lifting of a ban preventing women singers from performing on state television.

The legal body said the practice was un-Islamic, should not be repeated and did nothing for the respect within which women are held.

State TV showed female performers singing as part of TV changes introduced under the government of interim President Hamid Karzai.

But Deputy Chief Justice Faisal Ahmad Manawi told reporters on Wednesday all justices were "opposed to women singing. We totally oppose this decision".
