2. So, Obama is running a mud slinging campaign
The truth is that he sends out others to do his dirty work. Stuff like this will not change minds.

5. Sorry, but
one minor scandal sticking to Obama is not going to gain any ground against the public's perception of the Clintons.

I do think it's pretty funny that Her Man in California is all up in it too, though.

6. Clinton Co-Chair Took Checks From Rezko
Source: Huffington Post

LOS ANGELES — Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a national co-chair of Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign, banked at least $1,500 in political donations from an indicted Chicago businessman whose past connections to Barack Obama have been used by Clinton to criticize her rival's judgment and ethics.

City records show Antoin Rezko, chairman of Rezmar Corp. of Chicago, contributed $1,000 to Villaraigosa's mayoral campaign in May 2001. Those records show Rezko also donated $500 to another Villaraigosa political committee in March 2003.

Villaraigosa's office did not respond to repeated calls and an e-mail for comment.

The donations could prove to be a political embarrassment for Clinton, who accused Obama in a South Carolina debate of representing Rezko "in his slum landlord business" when Obama was a young Chicago lawyer.

15. I'm voting for Obama, yes
I didn't have to "dig" for the article, though--it was e-mailed to me by someone in L.A. whose job includes staying up to date on scandals surrounding Tony V.

20. Longtime patron may be a problem for Obama
>The donations could prove to be a political embarrassment for Clinton<

You have got to be kidding? You're unbelievable!

From the Los Angeles Times:

Longtime patron may be a problem for Obama

By Dan Morain and Tom Hamburger, Los Angeles Times Staff Writers
January 23, 2008

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-rezko23jan23,0,6946018.story?coll=la-home-center

"A review by the Los Angeles Times shows that Antoin 'Tony' Rezko, a businessman long active in Chicago politics, played a deeper role in Obama's political and financial biography than the candidate has acknowledged."

18. I don't understand.
This guy donated. He's not running anyone's campaign. He donated money. Barack gave the money to charity anyway, but even if he didn't, what's the big deal? He's a citizen. He's free to support whoever he wants. Clinton supporters have no right to harp on Resko when Norman Hsu was found in a fetal position on a train. Not that that's the Clintons' fault. Just saying. Don't throw stones.

19. That was my point in posting this
We live in America, which means a large proportion of the people with large amounts of money are total slimeballs. Clinton never should have opened this can of worms--it was truly the low point of her campaign. Glad she came back a little stronger tonight, though I still hope she doesn't get the nomination.
