5. We could only hope
But the ones making those decisions don't even realize the infrastructure required to do it.
They just order the outsourcing and then yell when it doesn't get done on time.

7. 3 cables in as many days?
Yeah, sounds fishy. All three cables serve the middle east, so I have to wonder if US or Israel is preparing for something... :tinfoilhat:

10. I suppose you think Obama did it.
I said the US or Israel, if you had bothered reading all the words in my sentence. In case you haven't noticed, both Bush and Olmert have been maneuvering to attack Iran for some time now. A common prelude to military attack is to knock out communications for the target. If a few other countries lose their internet too, then so be it. Who else has the resources and the motivation to knock out deep sea cables that are 1000 miles apart?

I see your posts everywhere, and I can't remember a single one that wasn't an attack or flame-bait. I guess it's time to put you on ignore. Buh-bye! :hi:

11. Definitely suspicious
So we ask the question, what are the effects, what group would gain advantage from the effects, and how would that group use that advantage?

Are the cut cables diversions to install a huge data siphoning system like our government placed in AT&T offices, or are they a diversion to cover up a defensive move when a group discovered such a system was already on the cable?

Internet disruptions will last another 10 days: Egypt 2 minutes ago

CAIRO (AFP) - Egyptian Internet disruption caused by damage to undersea cables will last another 10 days, the ministry of communications and information technology said on Saturday.

"Disruptions to the Internet network will continue for at least another 10 days," a statement carried by the official MENA news agency said.

A repair ship was expected early Tuesday to begin work to fix the two cables in the Mediterranean Sea. They were damaged on Wednesday, rupturing connections not only in Egypt but also thousands of kilometres (miles) away.

"Around 55 percent of the internet network is now up and running," the statement said, after emergency teams were formed to find alternative connection routes.
