Obama takes early lead in Maine

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Barack Obama has a slight lead over Hillary Rodham Clinton in early tallies for today's Maine caucuses.

Democrats turned out in heavy numbers, overlooking snowy weather.

Democrats in 420 Maine towns and cities are deciding how the state's 24 delegates will be allotted at the party's national convention in August.

With 11% of the participating precincts reporting, Obama has a narrow lead over Clinton, 175 to 168, with four uncommitted.
