AP-ME GEN IRAQ SOLDIER DIES Soldier dies from non-hostile gunshot: US command
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - A U.S. soldier died from a non-hostile gunshot wound south of Baghdad as the death toll in the Iraq conflict approaches 500, the U.S. command said.
The incident occurred Friday evening near Diwaniyah south of Baghdad, the command said in a statement. No further details were released.
AP still has NO WORD on the five deaths early Saturday.
On edit: AP is now acknowleding the other deaths, but very cautiously: BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP)_Five U.S. service members killed in attack north of Baghdad, CNN reports, citing unnamed military sources.

Maybe it was one of the 1500 troops that had their stay at Camp Baghdad extended beyond the 1-yr mark they were promised. And I'm sure Bush is sound asleep in his bed right now while the family of this man suffers.
