Harper unveils new Afghan motion with 2011 end date
Source: CBC News

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has unveiled a new motion with a hard end date of 2011 for Canada's military mission in Afghanistan, a move aimed at bridging the gap between the Conservatives and Liberals.

In a speech late Thursday morning at the Conference of Defence Associations meeting in Ottawa, Harper revealed details of the motion that will be tabled sometime after the House resumes sitting next week.

Harper said the motion will incorporate "large elements" of last week's Liberal amendment of the Conservative party's original motion.

... The Conservatives' apparent willingness to compromise drew praise from the Liberal ranks.

... The motion says all Canadian troops will be out of the volatile Kandahar region by December 2011, six months later than called for by Stéphane Dion's Liberals.

1. We shouldn't be there in the first place, never mind extending it.
.
.
.

Chretien had the right approach - "give me proof"

Which of course the USA couldn't do because it was all lies.

Martin had his little off-shoring business, and the USA conned him into quietly getting us into the Afghan thing, and the USA added more troops to IRAQ - Not Afghanistan.

Afghanistan was just a "boarding point" when Iraq was the real target in the first place.

If the USA had REALLY wanted to catch OBL and end his terrorism

(which I'm seriously debating, as the USA seems to be "fomenting" as they like to call it more terrorism than OBL could have EVER "fomented" than the USA has)

The USA woulda done that so-called "Shawk n' Awe" think in Afghanistan, and STAYED THERE UNTIL THEY GOT THE "JOB" DONE!

But no, JR hadda have his war in Iraq, and has 4-5 times more "warriors" in Iraq than Afghanistan -

And NOW

Iraq supposedly has more terrorists than Afghanistan - -

How many terrorists were in Iraq BEFORE the Boy-King invaded?

Right -

NONE.

One more leader like Bush right now,

and the USA will be the pariah of the Globe.

If not already . . .
