New charges expected against diplomat in sex case
Source: The Associated Press (in the Virginian-Pilot)

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) -- Prosecutors are planning to bring additional child pornography charges against a U.S. diplomat who allegedly pressured visa applicants for sex while stationed in Brazil.

Gons G. Nachman, 42, who has addresses in Alexandria and Washington, was arrested earlier this month and charged with possession of child pornography, misuse of his diplomatic passport and making false statements.

In court papers, prosecutor Ron Walutes said he expects a superseding indictment in early March that will add charges of producing child pornography - charges that carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years, unlike mere possession charges which have a maximum of 10 years and no statutory minimum.

The child pornography charges stem from videos Nachman allegedly made of himself having sex with girls as young as 15 in Congo and Brazil, where he was stationed as a vice consul. According to the criminal complaint, Nachman required his maid to film and photograph the sex.

5. Nachman is a career diplomat and not a political appointee, right?
He's a US Vice Consul.

6. It is indeed shocking

to learn that a Bush/Republican appointee is a sex pervert.
Ugh, never mind. :puke: :banghead:
They can't be all that upset as he was having sex with a female. Senator Vitter of Louisiana allegedly had a hooker changing his soiled diapers, but the GOP thought it was OK as Republicans are allowed to be a bit kinky.
Video of sexual abuse on a minor may even be too low for Republicans, but time will tell. We already know killing innocent people with dark skin is OK, just ask John McCain.
What a bunch of fucking psychos.

7. "... sex with girls as young as 15 in Congo and Brazil...."
I think, though I'm in no position to know, that the age of consent in much of South America was 13. What about Congo?

8. Samba Gons!
~snip~
A quick Goggle search indicates that Gons Gutierrez Nachman is a samba dancing enthusiast ("I'm going to work in Brazil in May ... And, I think it's a wonderful way to introduce myself to the country") who also dabbled in amateur photography while stationed in the Congo from 2003 to 2005, where he took pictures of "displaced people," "traditional and modern Congolese dancers," and "children." He is probably the same Gons Gutierrez Nachman who was active in the University of Pennsylvania Naturist Student Association during the 90s.

Nudists strip down for cause

A student group decided to bare the naked truth on College Green yesterday. Literally.

In a demonstration in favor of nudity as a form of expression, four members of the Naturist Student Association stripped in front of the Peace Symbol.

Speaking in front of television cameras and in the buff, Association President and third-year Law Student Gons Nachman, explained the Naturist platform.

"Nudity does not have to be sexual. It is very positive, very wholesome, and very natural," he said. "We feel a strong connection to our planet and to other creatures that were born naked like ourselves.

"We also enjoy a certain amount of freedom from embarrassment -- from having to worry about our looks without shame," he added.
