Jack Kevorkian preparing a run for Congress
Source: WZZM13 - Grand Rapids MI

Pontiac - Assisted suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian is planning a run for Congress.

Kevorkian was released from prison last year and remains on parole. But the 79-year-old told The Oakland Press for an article published Wednesday that he plans to run for office as a candidate with no party affiliation.

Kevorkian lives in Oakland County and the 9th District. That's a seat now held by Republican Joe Knollenberg.

Kevorkian would have to gather a minimum of 3,000 signatures on nominating petitions to appear as an independent on the November ballot.

If Mr. K runs as an independent and takes down this Republican idiot, that would be good, no?

At least he's on parole BEFORE he runs for office, not the typical US politician.

Perhaps local Dems should try to recruit him.

1. Dems have already targeted Knollenberg (R-MI). Kevorkian would be a Nader there.

The party is backing a fellow named Gary Peters, lawyer and CMU professor.

3. I have always liked Jack...He needs a reprieve.
It is ok to Euthanize our loving pets
But not allowed when people are suffering.
The drug companies make to much money
off Human suffering. :applause:
(Whats up with the word Euthanize,
seems the DU dictionary will not let me add it?
Is it a banned word now?)
