Buchanan to Bush: 'Re-Write or Resign'
I just got this from Buchanan himself.

Journalist turned Republican presidential candidate John Buchanan has issued a challenge to George W. Bush: either re-write the State of the Union address to acknowledge his administration's advance knowledge of the threat of a September 11th-style attacks on the United States, or resign the presidency, effective immediately.

Buchanan, speaking from the campaign trail in New Hampshire, announced a last minute campaign to flood the White House with phone calls and emails demanding that Bush re-write or resign.

He has carried the challenge to talk radio in 9 states and has enlisted the help of progressive web sites to get the message out.

Buchanan urges you to phone the White House switchboard at 202-456-1414 or send an email to president@whitehouse.gov. Deliver the simple message to George W. Bush: 'Re-write or resign!'

12. His site even publishes works by Wm R Pitt!!!
from the "Buchanan for President" website:

Two Loud Words

(snip)
Two words: 'Bush Knew.'

It is, frankly, amazing that this has fallen down the memory hole. Recall two headlines from that period. The first, from the UK Guardian on May 19, 2002, was titled 'Bush Knew of Terrorist Plot to Hijack US Planes.' The first three paragraphs of this story read:

"George Bush received specific warnings in the weeks before 11 September that an attack inside the United States was being planned by Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network, US government sources said yesterday. In a top-secret intelligence memo headlined 'Bin Laden determined to strike in the US', the President was told on 6 August that the Saudi-born terrorist hoped to 'bring the fight to America' in retaliation for missile strikes on al-Qaeda camps in Afghanistan in 1998. Bush and his aides, who are facing withering criticism for failing to act on a series of warnings, have previously said intelligence experts had not advised them domestic targets were considered at risk. However, they have admitted they were specifically told that hijacks were being planned."

William Rivers Pitt is the Managing Editor of truthout.org. He is a New York Times and international best-selling author of three books -"War On Iraq," available from Context Books, "The Greatest Sedition is Silence," available from Pluto Press, and "Our Flag, Too: The Paradox of Patriotism," available in August from Context Books.

Just last week I saw a debate on C-Span between about 6 of them.

They were kindof all over the board ideology-wise, and not very well funded. One of them was a woman.

Wish I could remember their names, but...

24. I'd fear retaliation for sending emails to the WH in opposition to Bush
The current administration (I almost said "occupation")is full of truly evil people who are capable of using governmental powers to retaliate against even ordinary citizens who dare oppose them.

This may seem extreme paranoia, but I have never felt afraid to speak my mind before this administration came to power. EVIL, EVIL, EVIL!!!

35. What the Spirit of the mountain says
Ye Olde Spiral Hawk Omen Reading + Bush-NH

I've been posting this all over the place. But on account of a big NE Patriots win last Sunday, and general whatever, here it is again -- my "omenous" take on Bush in the NH Primary:

(You are welcome to copy this, and e-mail it to Republican voters in NH. Help make a dream come true.)

May 3, 2003 -- high up on the flank of Cannon Mountain in Franconia Notch, NH -- the Old Man of the Mountain lost his face - literally - the day after Bush pulled his pilot-with-a-swagger stunt on the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln ("Mission Accomplished").

I was struck by the sequence of events. Bush prances on Abe Lincoln deck, the noble Old Man of the Mountain loses face immediately thereafter. What's going on here?

Bush Prances Carrier Deck in Flight Suit - May 2, 2003
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/2993415.stm

Old Man story - May 3, 2003:
http://gonewengland.about.com/cs/nhhistory/l/bloldmanofmtn.htm

For Granite Staters -- and all who had ever seen him -- the collapse of the Old Man's face was a First Class tragedy -- because the Old Man was a symbol of honesty, dignity, and honor -- and he seemed eternal.

I always thought of the Old Man's profile as embodying the same qualities as Old "Honest Abe" Lincoln, whose profile is so familiar to us from the penny. So I was deeply saddened to see him "lose face," and could not help but note that it came right after Bush pulled that bald-faced PR stunt on the deck of our nation's Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier.

After lying to America, our soldiers and the world, what right did Bush have to celebrate himself and "Declare Victory"? Hundreds of our soldiers have died and been wounded since that day, not to mention the ongoing misery for their families at home and the families in Iraq.

At the time I took this monumental loss of face in the Granite State as a sign that Bush was boasting shamelessly, comporting himself without honor or dignity.

After all, as we now know the Iraq war is based completely on BushCo fabrications, and Iraq had no WMDs and no connection to 9/11. This is a war of aggression and conquest. That's why our young men and women are dying over there -- it has nothing to do with national defense or our true honor. It has a lot to do with power and oil.

Now that I have read Sevethson's posting about the Republican candidacy of John Buchanan in the NH primary, I see things in a different light. I see the loss of face of the Old Man of the Mountain as an Omen that G.W. Bush may well lose face before the voters of NH.

Will the truth emerge? Will Bush be unmasked for who he really is before or during the NH primary? We shall see.

Here's the original DU thread discussing the R. candidacy of john Buchanan against G. W. Bush in the NH primary.

His campaign -- and his research -- are sincere, and worthy of every voter's consideration.

From Buchanan's website....

It all started with Prescott Bush, George W. Bush's grandfather.

In 1918 it is said that he robbed the grave and stole the skull of the Native American warrior Geronimo as part of an initiation into Yale's Skull and Bones Society. The Skull and Bones society has long been important to the Bush Family. George Bush Sr. and George W. Bush were also members of this secret society.

___________No, it started earlier than that._______________

Prescott Bush was a Nazi-whore, but his father Samuel was worse (WWI)
