Hack Attack: The GOP Journalist Gunning for Bush in NH
Although the facts of the Bush family/Nazi Germany connection have been whirling around in cyberspace for years, veteran journalist John Buchanan was among the first to confirm the story in print. Now he’s running against George W. in the New Hampshire Republican primary.

In January 2003, Buchanan got involved in the antiwar movement and began researching war profiteering in the Bush administration by way of such companies as the Carlyle Group, Engineered Support Systems, BioPort, Halliburton, Bechtel and Wackenhut. His investigation ultimately led to a screenplay called Project Clear-Vision, taken from the name of an actual CIA anthrax-biowarfare project that may have violated the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention.

snip
His platform is quixotically idealistic: (1) end the corporate reign in this country by getting corporations out of politics and government entirely; (2) end war profiteering by former government officials and Washington insiders, which leads to billions of dollars in secret profits that are banked offshore, without scrutiny; (3) reform the media. His campaign manager is David Kubiak, a Democrat who ran in the New Hampshire primary for vice president in 2000.

if he can get any media attention at all, this is great - put * on the defensive for a change.

4. No chance. They guy will probably be
found dead in a park from a gunshot wound to the head. He'd really been despondent lately. He had been upset a lot. An "assisted suicide" thing.

Reminds me a lot of the lady that filed the lawsuit against W in Sugarland, TX for rape then committed suicide months later.

Those darn suicides have a way of happening.

11. Buchanan is in great spirits lately
I interviewed him a few weeks ago.

He is also a registered DUer.

Go to the NHgazette.co website to read his articles on the BushNazis.

PLEASE try to be suppportive.

I think John would honored to give his life in this struggle. BUT we need to try to think positively. PLEASE?

I read the whole article and it had the by line of Paul Krassner!!! A real blast from the 1960's. I didn't know he was still active. Anybody else remember Ramparts! magazine?

7. Krassner
I remember him - a Yippie fly in the ointment. He's scheduled to start doing a regular column in the New York Press.

8. I remember Ramparts
I only remember the name. Wasn't it based in San Francisco or Daly City? If that's the one, my step-brother was the comptroller for a few months.
What was it's theme?

14. I remember Ramparts.
Ho Chi Minh used to have a subscription to Ramparts, I am told. I thought that was funny.

When Ramparts went out of business, I read something called Seven Days. Does anyone remember Seven Days? I think some of the same people were involved in it.

Then, Seven Days folded, and they did not send me back my money, but sent my subscription to The Nation instead. This was in the late seventies, I think. I thought that was great. I have been reading the Nation ever since.

Not that I'm old enough to remember Krassner or anything. ;)

9. All I can say is "WOW"!!!
He may not have a lotto chance in hell of even "formal" recognition as a contender (and, quite frankly, I cannot attach any "formal" allegiance to him as a contender based merely upon this particular article),...BUT,...I certainly acknowledge his apparent allegiance to truth and democracy!!! Moreover, I hope he grabs the American people's attention without being either dumbed or numbed by our profit-grabbing, sensationalizing, HO-tow press. Hell, who knows, maybe he will awaken how cheap and shallow and "chicken" most of the so-called "news reporters" have become (mind you,...I am not saying "all" reporters,...nor am I diminishing the obstacles they face).
