Poll: Bush's approval hits new low
Source: CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Just 31 percent of Americans approve of how President Bush is handling his job, according to a poll released Wednesday, the fifth anniversary of the start of the Iraq war.

A new poll out Wednesday finds that 67 percent of those surveyed disapprove of President Bush.

Sixty-seven percent of those questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey disapprove of the president's performance.

The 31 percent approval number is a new low for Bush in CNN polling, and 40 points lower than the president's number at the start of the Iraq war.

"Bush's approval rating five years ago, at the start of the Iraq war, was 71 percent, and that 40-point drop is almost identical to the drop President Lyndon Johnson faced during the Vietnam War," said CNN polling director Keating Holland.

Dumbass Merkans may have been fooled the first time, but there's simply no excuse voting for that asshole a second time.

45. Unfortunately, my sister is one of them.
When I try to argue with her, she tells me she assumes Bush knows something she doesn't know, and she has "faith" in him. Yes, she's an evangelical christian also, and the only thing Bush knows that she doesn't know is how much he is deceiving her.

Bush's "faith-based giving" has made it lucrative for those churches/pastors/ministers to support Bush, so they tell their congregations whatever they need to in order to keep the money flowing to themselves.

Its not possible to argue with them, because they "believe" in Bush in the same way that they "believe" in god. The only thing I can think of to do is hope they eventually realize their mistake.

9. I think it was John Dean who pointed out that....
About 23% of all Americans are doofuses who support the President no matter who he (or she) is or what they do. This President's numbers have consistently hovered in the mid-to-low 30s.

That's the doofus corner plus the ten percent of Americans who are getting filthy rich off the rest of us.

While the "Liberal" media is beating up on Obama and his relationship to Rev. Wright, McSame's repeated gaffes (or what I call "catapulting the propaganda) are getting a free pass.

If Obama and Hillary would start beating up on McCain instead of each other, the media would be reporting on that instead.

Edited on Wed Mar-19-08 05:08 PM by Deny and Shred
Well, they'll tell some 'credible' outlet to report that Bush's approval is more like 43%. Then the MSM can print them both side by side. More kill the messenger, or at least discredit.
