6. Commutation, but as of now the felony conviction still stands |
|
His jail sentence was commuted. I'm sure Bush will pardon him on his way out the back door of the White House.

Secretion of mail? Does that mean it's illegal to sweat envelopes?

But that isn't what this person did. They didn't deliver the mail. I've seen this before, mail carriers sick of delivering all that junk mail, and real mail too for that matter, and they hoard it in their cars or houses, or even throw it down sewers.

18. There was a neo-nazi at a post office north of Boston who admitted hiding Jewish newspapers. |
|
Even after his admission, he still kept his job for years.
Every once in a while, he'd still do it, just not as often as he used to.
As far as I know, he still works there.

11. and a military guy importing cocaine got pardoned |
|
Bush overturned a Court Martial for a cocaine smuggler, another pardon for a heroin importer, commuted sentences of a cocaine dealer ( over 50 grams) who also committed food stamp fraud :wtf:
The backstory on these must be really interesting.

14. If I became President on Jan 20th, 2009 on Jan 21st I would |
|
commute the sentence of every one convicted of any drug offense with out violence. I would pardon anyone convicted of simple possession of any drug.

16. I don't believe that would be possible |
|
I may be wrong here, but the President's pardon power only covers federal offenses. Since most drug cases are state charges I do not believe the President has any authority.

Wait until we see that list. Presidents should be banned from pardoning after the first Tuesday in the last November of their term.
