Blair: 'No doubt' Iraq had WMD
Blair: 'No doubt' Iraq had WMD

LONDON, England (CNN) -- British Prime Minister Tony Blair Wednesday deflected a call for an independent inquiry into his country's role in the Iraq war, saying there was "absolutely no doubt" about the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

In a typically lively parliament session, Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy asked Blair to comment on U.S. President George W. Bush's State of the Union address, in which the U.S. leader referred to "weapons of mass destruction-related program activities" identified by the Iraq Survey Group.

Blair assured parliament that the survey group, under David Kay, continues to search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq as well as "evidence of concealment of those programs."

In his Tuesday night address, Bush cited Kay's report as support for the U.S.-led war in Iraq.

"Had we failed to act, the dictator's (Saddam Hussein's) weapons of mass destruction programs would continue to this day," Bush said.

3. If the shit hits the fan in London, DC isn't far behind.
Knowing how this adminstration operates, I am sure they are pressuring him to "keep up with the lie". Only, he isn't doing a very good job if you ask me.

4. Blair's delusions are fascinating

Even more so than Chimpy's. With the Chimp, you can believe that he actually believes the lie.

With Tony, you have to think he knows better.

5. This is becoming more and more...
A matter of desperate faith than anything based on fact. Where's the evidence Tony? Almost a year later and we still don't have anything solid. And this is the shaky ground to which he justifies a war? The more he defends it, the less credible he sounds.

6. Yes Tony, Iraq Had WMD's
UN inspectors found them, destroyed them - Bush then magically resurrected said destroyed WMD's, er...programs...er....destruction-related program activities, er...concealment of those programs.

Nice try though Tony.

8. He might have gotten that unmanned terror plane aloft by now...
"Had we failed to act, the dictator's (Saddam Hussein's) weapons of mass destruction programs would continue to this day," Bush said.

...that David Kay quit????

Edit

According to a Reuters story on 01-15-04, it was reported that David Kay had informed the CIA that he was not returning to Iraq. The story
also pointed out that the survey group that Blair is talking about has so far come up empty handed.

I guess Blair has adopted the Bush program of not reading the papers
either.

14. You may be onto something! Librul media and missing commas = traitors
Librul Media Distorted Headline Blair: 'No doubt' Iraq had WMD

"REAL" Headline: Blair: 'No Doubt': Iraq had WMD
snip... Gwen told me Iraq had WMD, how was I supposed to know she meant Wicked Music Department?

Or perhaps

"REAL" Headline: Blair: 'No Doubt', Iraq had WMD
snip...MI5 heard through the London underground that "no doubt Iraq had WMD's", we have since learned the MI5 Agents were hanging out in the London underground music scene and No Doubt and Eye Rack are bands that had, in the vernacular of the underground wmd's, or Women, Men, Dance! So technically we are right. As for the yellowcake falderal(sp?), I have no comment.

13. Saying he had "no doubt" is meaningless and irrelevant
to the argument. All it proves is that Tony was duped, stupid, or complicit. The issue here is that nations were sent to WAR on the basis of bogus claims and assertions.
