Green Zone Hit for Fourth Day This Week
Source: AP

BAGHDAD (AP) — Shiite militants are hammering the U.S.-protected Green Zone with rockets and mortars for the fourth day this week.

Thick, black smoke is billowing from inside the heavily fortified home to the U.S. Embassy and Iraqi government.

Embassy spokeswoman Mirembe Nantongo says no one has been injured in Thursday's attacks.

American military officials say the attacks are coming from breakaway factions of anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr's Mahdi Army.

3. Don't they have something like a 12 ft. think concrete wall around it?

11. Yeah, but it's pretty useless.
Any weapon that fires in a parabolic trajectory goes right over it. What they really need is a 12 ft. thick dome, with a time-stasis barrier and counter-battery lasers, and humanoid robots with big guns to chase down the terraists.

I'm sure we've already paid for such a system.

13. The lasers we can build. The killer robots are going to take a little while longer.
The initial contractor, Cyberdyne Systems, had a major setback when one of their labs exploded (they think it was industrial sabotage) and they couldn't meet the deadline. The new contractor does seem to have some promising developments though, with these Cybernetic Life-form Nodes, or "CYLONS."

In all seriousness, we actually do have about 5,000 combat robots deployed to Iraq.

14. For a mortar round
no matter how thick is the wall, there is always a chance the place is going to be mortared.

2. Add that to what is happening in Basra.
Iraq is seeing some of the worst days of violence since the Invasion.

6. That is who Betray-us is blaming.
Whether they still want to hit Iran or not(I believe they do), Betray-us is blaming the Green Zone attacks on Iran to distract that his Escalation is failing to keep a lid on the violence.

The Iraqi government seems to be trying to get Sadr out of the picture before the elections. Hell of a Democracy they have over there.
