US Military Deaths in Iraq at 4,007

As of Saturday, March 29, 2008, at least 4,007 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The figure includes eight military civilians. At least 3,261 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's numbers.

The AP count is seven more than the Defense Department's tally, last updated Friday at 10 a.m. EDT.

The latest deaths reported by the military:

- Two soldiers were killed Saturday in Baghdad when their vehicle was struck by an explosive.

The latest identifications reported by the military:

- Army Spc. Joshua A. Molina, 20, Houston; died Thursday in Baghdad of wounds sustained from an explosive; assigned to the 1st Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.

Tragic, just horrible tragic.... And I am los of word.. 4007 dead, and how many maimed?. How many more most lost their life, ,before the ************ bastard of a president, vice president, and the rest of the mob is arrested, tried and convicted?..
