for a "Third Party Candidate". This isn't particularly positive news for those who wish to continue controlling us through the "system". Typical spin though. Dizzying isn't it?
First off, I would like to see the day soon where the Repukes are the "Third Party" or better yet, the fourth or fifth party. Their greedy, grasping, reckless criminality has metamorphosed a truly great idea for a country into an international pariah. The sacrifices of millions of American heroes, from our founding fathers right through WW2, have been for nothing while these "neo-con" traitors desecrate and disgrace our once noble course.
A very significant aspect of our continued oppression has been the "system". The two "major" parties are completely corrupt. If you don't agree with that then IMHO you are being bamboozled. The interests of peace loving, humanitarian, honest, patriotic, sharing, loving Americans are so noticeably stuck far below the horizon, while our constitutionally guaranteed protections from the state are hacked away wholesale right in front of our apparently ingenuous eyes.
Our "representatives", even the "Democrats" have been overwhelmingly complacent, collaborative, compliant and even complicit while capitulating time after time to our fascist oppressors. Are you gullible enough to think that things are ever going to improve without some fundamental (radical) changes in the "system"?
The "systems" reliance on huge amounts of "contributions", actually though, let's face it, these are "investments" (which net astronomical returns) corrupting the whole process and creating/enabling our dysfunctional government. Actually it is functioning perfectly for those in control, those profiting immensely, those who enjoy torture, exploitation of the weak, inordinate power and wholesale criminality.
Those folks on this sort of thread who are quick to demonize American heroes like Ralph Nader as somehow part of the problem are either woefully ignorant or willing tools of our oppressors. No two ways about it! To defend the current operating "system" in light of our countries terrible situation is bizarre.
Where is the basic human right to effective up-to-date health care on the agenda? In the control of the Health Insurance Industry!
Where is the end of the tragic Iraqi war crimes being committed in OUR NAMES? 100 years from now?
Where are the rational alternatives to the oil cartels? Wind, wave, sun...
Where is the end of the "war on drugs". Selective enforcement targeting certain people. Actually it's a war on the poor, the different and our constitutional "rights".
Where is the education required to ensure a intelligent electorate? Not likely to happen when we just learn about how to be reliable consumer/producer sheeple. Our schools have been eviscerated due to the lack of funding. Teachers have been marginalized, demoralized and underpaid. Other priorities supposedly supersede education. Like prisons! Like war crimes! Like more police! Like perquisites for politicians! Like far too many frivolous and wasteful things to list. More important than education? Only if your goal is a dumbing down so complete that folks will even vote for their enemies!
When are the major beneficiaries of the "system" the rich and the super-rich going to pay their fair share of the costs/taxes? A huge proportion of the government is set up to protect their wealth. To keep them safe and insulated from the reality that overwhelmingly benefits only them. We, the oppressed, actually pay for our own subjugation. The tax "system" is regressive. Working folks and the "middle class" pay taxes. The rich pay politicians and lawyers to write gaping holes into the tax code to keep their wealth secure from generation to generation.
Our America, your country and mine, is the major victim of the "neo" philosophy. Since opportunities for exploiting the people in other countries is contracting, as they liberate themselves, the oppressors have cranked up their machinations, their greedy schemes, to suck the remaining wealth away from us to keep us "in line" and struggling.
We are declining into oblivion.
So sad!
It's interesting how many of those who want to preserve the right to gun ownership supposedly because they want to have the option to protect themselves from the state aren't firing off a few rounds to show their displeasure with the current situation. I guess they are dumbed down and can't read the "writing on the wall". If they don't get busy soon, I'd say they might as well turn in all of their arms to Uncle Sam. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
