Tony Snow Joins CNN as Political Contributor
Source: CNN news release

Former White House press secretary Tony Snow will join CNN as a conservative commentator beginning today, it was announced by Jon Klein, president of CNN/U.S.

A well-known and respected observer of politics with a longstanding news background, Snow will contribute to CNN as the network continues to broadcast winning political coverage.

Snow most recently served as press secretary to President George W. Bush from April 2006 to September 2007. For 10 years beginning in 1996, he appeared on Fox News Channel, hosting Fox News Sunday, Weekend Live with Tony Snow and other programs. From 2003 to 2006, The Tony Snow Show aired on Fox News Radio. Before joining Fox, Snow served as a substitute "From the Right" co-host for CNN's Crossfire.

"In the White House, Tony brought a remarkably human touch to the discussion of public policy, which he will continue to do as part of the Best Political Team on Television," Klein said. "He will contribute a unique breadth of political and journalistic expertise to what is already the most provocative and wide-ranging political analysis on the air."

13. I actually almost like Beck to be honest.
There are times I come >.< close to agreeing with him, of course he loses me near the end when he usually tries to blame the "liberals" for whatever he is ranting about *grin*

28. Unfortunately,
he is a good liar (or comedian). All good lies (or jokes) have an element of truth wrapped up in them. Causes more people to identify with what is being said.

34. True, like i said though I only "almost" like him.
Now if he was more moderate and did not try to blame the so called "liberals" or "left" for so much that he rants about I might actually like him until then he will have to sell for being "almost" liked by me *grin*

4. When ever the conservative speaks I mute my TV. CNN is the only news chanel I get
since I have the cheapest DISH network you can get. The are bring back all the anti Bill Clinton gang like that ditsy blond who's name I can't remember now. I may have to do with out news during he election cycle.

I think they are stacking the deck in McCain's favor. I hope Obama can do better than Kerry did.

5. More proof that CNN is FauxLite
I guess he's not eligible to be hired at Fox because he hasn't been openly humiliated by scandal of his own making. If he works at it, he can join Newt Gingrich, Oliver North, Gordon Liddy, Mark Furman, and others too numerous to mention.

8. Tony Snow was a FReeper
Deleted posts by Tony Snow

Some deleted posts by Tony Snow on FreeRepublic, from the Google cache. Snow was registered on FreeRepublic since 1998, and posted frequently even after his appointment, but some higher-up apparently decided it wouldn’t be wise to keep his old posts around.

Generally, there is nothing amazing about these posts, but I figure they should be kept just for archival purposes. By the way, apparently Snow was not too popular at FreeRepublic back in 2000.

9. WTF ?
Is CNN in a race to the bottom, what News Organization with integrity would hire a former WH paid liar? Or is it a case that they (CNN) think we the public are too damned dumb to know or notice that?

10. Makes me sick..
What is going on at CNN? EVERY TIME I go to the CNN website I always see nothing but negative headlines about Clinton, and Obama. Obama,Clinton battle!! War between Obama,Clinton!!Obama attacks Clinton!!Clinton attacks Obama!!I have never once SEEN a positive headline, not once. I mean ABC sure let everyone know what side their bread gets buttered. But come on!!!! It almost looks like they are all in a Fox impersonation contest, and none of them wants to lose!!!!!!

12. Well look at it this way, most of us
here atleast know him for what he is right so as long as CNN does not try to cover it up or sugar coat it like Fox News does with the people they have on I dont see anything wrong with it provided they also have someone for an opposing opinion or view unlike Fox News which rarely does so.

18. I lost respect for CNN a long time ago
John Stewart makes fun of them all the time.

Right now I only respect "Democracy Now".. google it to see how you can watch or listen to it.

CSPAN
BBC (with a grain of salt)
PBS

and of course Keith Oberman and the Daily show.

26. Boycott the right-wing corporate media!
CNN, Fox News, CBS, ABC, NBC, Washington Post, New York Times, etc. They are all owned by the same small class of millionaires and billionaires that fund right-wing politicians.

instead of relying on as few as 3 or fewer, also take whatever you read with a grain of salt from any news source.

31. Disgusting
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 04:47 AM by Solly Mack
That anyone - and I mean anyone - that worked for (or with) the Bush admin. to prop up, enable, spew the lies, write the lies, promote the lies and crimes, as well as cover up for the lies and crimes of the Bush administration, to retain any semblance of credibility - regardless of how manufactured through obtaining cover themselves from the so-called "press" (or any other source) - reflects a level of deliberate denial regarding the war crimes of the Bush administration that can only be described as criminal itself.

32. try living without a tv...
it's hard at first, but you get used to it. we buy almost no crap now and have been actually able to save a good amount of money...probably due to not watching all the commercials.

we download our favorite shows from the internets and watch them commercial free. thinking about a netflix memebership too.
