Voter Turnout High For Pennsylvania Primary
Source: KYW

as of 3:00 PM...

PITTSBURGH (CBS) ― Pennsylvania poll workers say turnout has been high for today's primary election.

The heated Democratic campaign between Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton combined with the beautiful weather is making for large amount of voters at the polls.

The turnout could even set a record for Pennsylvania's Democratic primary.

If more than 2.3 million of the 4.2 million registered party members show up at the polls, it would set a modern record for the state's Democratic presidential primary.

5. Good
I am all for Independents being able to vote in a Primary (I was one for 30 years), but I don't think there should be party crossovers.

7. "Sample" Ballots in Philadelphia
I've read several reports of Pennsylvania primary ballots without Barack Obama's name. Some of the responses have sarcastically stated 'these are "sample" ballots' -- assuming these folks are knowledgeable about the appearance of these ballots. We have to remember there are tens of thousands of first time voters going to the polls - we just have to provide these folks a little more instruction and give them some slack.

9. The electronic screens look nothing like the "sample ballots."
And have both candidates.

One candidate sample ballots are as old and common as Chicago politics. Nothing new here.

8. The Republicans are not experiencing these numbers...

...and you can bet that they're all changing their Depends, as this information rolls out.

"Oh hi, I'm John McCain, and I'm going to run against a Democratic candidate during a year
when Democratic turnout will increase by 100 percent. Me want my blankey."

There's just no way in hell the Republicans can win with numbers like that.

Biggest underreported story of this campaign season. It's as if the Republicans don't
want anyone to understand that this Democratic tidal wave means a washout for the Republicans.
