Syria denies U.S. accusation over nuclear reactor
Source: Reuters

LONDON (Reuters) - Syria on Thursday dismissed U.S. accusations that North Korea was helping it build a nuclear reactor that could produce plutonium.

Syria's ambassador to Britain, Sami al-Khiyami, told Reuters that the accusation, which President George W. Bush's administration was expected to lay out to lawmakers on Thursday, was to put pressure on North Korea in talks about Pyongyang's nuclear program.

"This has nothing to do with North Korea and Syria. They just want to exert more pressure on North Korea. This is why they are coming up with this story," Khiyami said.

~snip~

"Unfortunately the scenario of taking and retaking pictures looks like what happened before the Iraq war, when the U.S. administration was trying to convince the world that Iraq had nuclear weapons," Khiyami said.

4. Great article AB, thanks. I saw that WSJ article, and it didn't ring true.
Here we go again.
So the US and Israel won't cooperate with the investigation into whether or not the site was nuclear, but Syria will. They just want us to take their word for it - shocking. I expect their evidentiary hearing to be "Powell-at-the-UN II, The Renukularing!" Maybe we'll get a made-4-TV movie, like the one where not getting Osama was all Bill Clinton's fault.
After the Iraq - WMD charade, this ought not fly.
It'll be interesting to see Europe's response to the 'evidence', particularly since the neo-con good ol' boy Blair is out of office.

5. I have been documenting this story
http://youtube.com/watch?v=AJW_hLM1pWI

Based on article from Pravda and Aviation Week about USA aiding Israel in the Sept 6 attack against Syria Computer attack against Syria's radar station computers

http://youtube.com/watch?v=jUUqa3YpHT0
The Israel Air Force hit a Syrian radar post near the country's northern border with Turkey on September 6, knocking out Syria's entire radar system
based on a Haaretz artick\le

our news agencies were told they needed silenc on this event

there are satellite pictures of what they bombed

Some believe that America shut down the Radar system
that would be a cyber attack

6. The only reason anything was known was due to the fuel tanks jettisoned over Turkey
If the Turkish farmers never turned in or reported the F-15 fuel tanks they found in their fields...the world would never have known about the Russian radar being defeated....
hmmmm...
If the tanks were jettisoned in Syria, the wolrd never would have known either. Funny that Assad refused MSM entry to the so called 'target'.
