Court rules in favor of BMV in ACLU case (33,000 may lose driver's licenses)

A Marion Superior Court judge on Wednesday denied a request by the ACLU of Indiana to stop the Bureau of Motor Vehicles from invalidating driver's licenses and identification cards of people whose information does not match Social Security Administration records.

... In February, the BMV said 33,353 customers would receive notices that a driver's license or ID card was subject to invalidation without an update or correction of personal information.

The agency planned to mail customers three reminder notices to give them 90 days to comply, and people could seek extensions.

2. How are states able to review federal data is the question? This passing of info has to stop
States have shown they cannot keep data secure at all. So many state level laptops have have been stolen where the states confess that huge databases were loaded onto the drives. OOOPS
