1. I want Obama to win! And I want him to win the presidency
with the biggest darned margin ever experienced by a presidential candidate!!! Now THAT would be a mandate for change!!!

That is my wish, hope and prayer!

That being said, and before anyone lamblasts or asks me: Yes, if Hillary wins the nom, I will be voting for her. Like I told the DNC guy last night on the phone "I'm voting for whoever gets the Dem nomination. A real donkey could get the nom and I would vote for it." (Ok - you got me, I wouldn't vote for the Dem nom if it was Lieberman.)

27. According to the Bush Doctrine, losing the pop vote and "winning" Florida..
means that the incoming President has a mandate. Shit, I forgot that there's a corollary that states that this does not apply to Democratic nominees. The Repugs are inevitably going to portray the race as closer than I suspect it really will be. I bet Obama wins 35 states (absent vote rigging, switching and election fraud) I seriously doubt that many Hillary supporters vote for McCain over Obama.

5. Only chance she has is to bully Dean and the DNC and to strong-arm, threaten, or buy...
...delegates.

It's increasingly more mad, sad, and desperate every day.

7. Yes, indeed he is boosting the Democratic Party
This is the difference between a carpetbagger like HRC and someone like Obama who worked his way up from the community organizing level.

8. I think that this is truly
the difference between the two. She is working to get to the top by tearing things down to her level. He is trying to lift this country up, by empowering others to their responsibility of engaging & that he is a transformational leader. Hillary has established at best she is coercive & detrimental to democracy.

19. No voter in MI or FL is responsible for the mess there.
That's the leadership. Usually punishing others for the crimes of leaders is called collective punishment, and would be illegal in an occupied country, but here in the good ole USA, oh, well.

We'd rather punish people than find a way to let them count, right?

I always thought that was the OTHER party's attitude...

24. It's more complex than that.
It's all well and good to say that it's not fair to punish the voters because of the indiscretions of their leaders, but what about Obama? Isn't it also unfair to him? His name wasn't even on one ballot in one state and he did not campaign in the other state.

The truth is that all this is about is trying to find some way to get more delegates for Clinton no matter what. You had better believe that if the shoe were on the other foot the Clinton camp would be taking a completely different position on all of this.

26. It's more complex than that - AND YOU KNOW IT! just like totodeinhere said
To say anything else is disingenuous at best.

Every Dem candidate - including Hillary - agreed to pull out of MI. And every one - except Hillary - did.

Every Dem candidate - including Hillary - agreed not to campaign in FL. And every one - except Hillary - did not.

have been if you were the DNC?

6. ENTIRE FRONT INSIDE PAGE of my local Indy paper had an Obama ad....
...huge, beautiful thing about early voting and same-day registration and voting. "Paid for by ObamaforAmerica" - at the bottom.

12. That was another thing..
pretty subtle but I noticed... on the FEC reports, Obama for America, instead of Barack Obama for President like many of the others. Probably irrelevant, but a nice touch I think.

13. I'm curious...
As to how many of the new registrants will actually come out and vote. I know a lot of them didn't in PA, which is why all the polls were off. The pollsters all expected higher turnout.

28. I live here and vote here and turnout was phenomenal
Don't know where you got your info. So what's new with results not matching exit polls? Happens wherever there is e-voting. If anything was wrong, it was in Hillary's favor. The entire Governor's apparatus was in play for her. Obama had Bob Casey and a few mayors and most major newspaper endorsements, but not party machinery.

14. This is exactly what I was hoping for...
I am new to this whole process, but I am soo eager to get involved in this.

There are a host of young voters and minorities in my neighborhood, friends and family who are not registered to vote. They are soo apathetic (as I was prior to Obama's inspiration) and they are still skeptical that things can really change. I decided that if Obama got the nod this year, I was gonna walk around with pre-stamped voter registration cards, have my friends and family fill it out and stick it in the mail for them...

What I am starting to realize more and more is that the way we will change things is TOGETHER as a whole. It's the only way...

Does anyone have any more info on this? I just signed up to volunteer and put a note that it was specifically for this voter registration drive. I think I could be more effective by joining this group (more power in numbers).

Can anybody here pleeeeeease give me some more information???

22. Joint effort with DNC....here's more about the meeting where Hillary donors attacked
Dean for not seating FL and MI. This was what the meeting was about..joint efforts. McCain has the same thing with the RNC.

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/madfloridian/1970

Two of her donors got huffy with Dean and walked out.
