Consumer sentiment lowest in 26 years
Source: CBS Marketwatch

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- High fuel and food prices, coupled with "shrinking" income gains and falling home values pulled down consumer sentiment in April, according to a Friday report. The U.S. consumer sentiment index declined to 62.6 in April -- the lowest level in 26 years -- from 69.5 in March, according to a Friday report from University of Michigan/Reuters. An earlier estimate for April was 63.2. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch were looking for a final April result of 63.0. The expectations index fell to 53.3 - the lowest level since November 1990 -- from 60.1 in March.

7. NAFTA, Almost-Free Trade With China, etc.
This was an expansion for the Predator Class, but not for the Middle Class. The Middle Class got a very slight bump, but the seeds of their coup de grace were sown.

6. Just a few "green" heavy equipment operators needed to be
global gravediggers. What's left for the best 2%? That's easy...rob the living.

The rest of us, brutish Stans that we are, say the 2%, should continue hopping on the energy-saving streetcars of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness until our communities all look like the 9th Ward of New Orleans after Blanche, er...I mean Katrina.
