Top US officer warns of Iran efforts in Iraq, region
Source: Reuters

WASHINGTON, April 25 (Reuters) - The Pentagon sharpened its warnings about Iran on Friday, saying Tehran had boosted its support for Iraqi militias and that Washington had military options it could use to force Iran to stop.

Adm. Michael Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the military had evidence Iran was providing new weapons to Iraqi insurgents despite Tehran's commitment to the government in Baghdad that it would halt such support.

"The Iranian government pledged to halt such activity some months ago," Mullen said. "It's plainly obvious they have not. Indeed, they seem to have gone the other way."

Mullen also said he was "extremely concerned" about Iran's activities throughout the region, including its support of Hezbollah and Hamas.

...

"When I say I don't want to take any military options off the table, that certainly more than implies that we have military options," Mullen told reporters at the Pentagon.

"That kind of planning activity has been going on for a long time. I think it will go on for some time into the future." (Reporting by Kristin Roberts, Editing by Jackie Frank)

2. How and why would we trust any of these Bush cronies to tell us the truth?
The whole lot of them lie so damn much that without concrete proof (which we will never see) we just can't trust anything they say. No doubt they will sell this load of crap to Congress though.

4. Isn't this an exciting day? We have 'proof' that Iran is arming Iraq and 'proof' that Syria was
making nukes with the help of N. Korea!! Let's all cheer for the continuing success of the Neocons. Aren't Iran and Syria the next two on their 'take 'em' list?

8. Its coming folks...
You think shits bad now? Wait unitl the war criminals in the white house launch an attack on Iran. Watch the gas prices go completely outta control. Watch the number of dead US troops skyrocket as Iran unleashes attacks on them in Iraq.

They just put Betray-us in charge of centcom or some such shit...theres another story about a US contractor boat firing on an Iranian boat...the fucking gun is loaded and cocked and Cheney's fingers are ready to pull back. Even secretary of Defense Gates is warning of a disaster if we attack...he knows its coming and I think hes trying to both warn America and distance himself from the war criminals.

If Americans do not rise up and demand an end to these crimes and this rogue administration we are fucked! Congress wont stop 'em...we already know that after 8 years of ass kissing. Limbaugh wants a riot? Lets give him one in fucking Washington DC and drag these scum-sucking-dirt-bag-low-lifes outta there and try to save this nation. I believe it may be a matter of days before we hear that Bush is going to address the nation on a matter of grave importance only to announce the attacks have started and there will nothing...NOTHING we could do to stop it.

Unless we stop them RIGHT NOW...its the end of the world as we know it.
