Turk warplanes strike PKK targets in N.Iraq: army
Sat Apr 26, 2008 6:03am EDT

By Emma Ross-Thomas

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Turkey's army said its warplanes
struck Kurdish separatist targets inside northern Iraq on
Friday and Saturday, in what army sources called the
biggest Turkish air operation in northern Iraq this year.

A Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) spokesman said the
bombing had caused no casualties.

The Turkish military has carried out a series of air attacks
on northern Iraq since the end of a February land offensive
into the neighboring country, where rebels have bases. It
was the second air strike this week, after an operation on
Wednesday.

The army tends to step up operations against the PKK
in the spring when the snow melts, making it easier to
move about in the mountainous region.

1. Turkey planning new incursion into Iraq: PKK
SULAIMANIYAH, Iraq (AFP) - Turkey is planning a new military incursion into northern Iraq targeting Kurdish rebels, a spokesman for the guerrillas said, adding that warplanes also launched an air raid on Saturday.

"We have information that new (Turkish) troops are being gathered along the border," said Ahmed Danis, spokesman for the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

"We expect Turkish troops to launch a new incursion into northern Iraq. The PKK is ready to confront any Turkish aggression."

Danis said Turkish aircraft launched a raid early on Saturday in the Khwarkuk district along the border with Turkey, the second such attack in two days.

Isn't it time we change Washington to represent We The People...?

The Obama Campaign Needs Our Support. Volunteer, contribute time and money if you can. We can be the differnce. Our voice is more powerful than the powerful special interest and the few connected. Yes we must hope and believe in that hope that we are taking our government back our country back. As concerned Americans I challenge you to check out Obama's document "Blueprint For Change"... It is an impressive outline of change that we can believe in... If you want to know about Obama's "Agenda", this document is where you will learn the truth and you will likely be pretty surprised.

People young and old are taking more responsibility in this election like never before as they see their parents and
grandparents hurting and struggling to make ends meet and feeling nearly helpless due to the harse economic strain that is so pervasive in our country today.
