Bush to travel to Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia: White House
Source: AFP

WASHINGTON (AFP) - President George W. Bush will travel next month to Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, but is not planning a trilateral summit with Israeli and Palestinian leaders while there, the White House said Monday.

"The president and Mrs. (Laura) Bush will travel to Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt from May 13-18," a White House statement read.

The president's trip will celebrate America's "close ties over the past six decades" with Israel, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Jewish state, it said.

His visit to Saudi Arabia will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the formal establishment of US-Saudi relations.

The visit also will focus on cooperation with US Mideast allies and "will reaffirm efforts toward peace and prosperity and our close work with regional allies to combat terrorism and promote freedom."

5. What for
Useless shite should just hole up at the WH until next Jan. watching ESPN and the Cartoon Channel. You'd think Laura could keep him out of trouble until then instead of taking him on a farewell tour.

7. Didn't the Jordanian King ask him not to come?
I know I read that last week when King Abdullah was meeting with the idiot at the White House. Guess he doesn't listen to his friends.
