BBC (Saturday): US seeks allies for war on terror
From the BBC Online
Dated Saturday Janyary 23 12:18 GMT (4:18 am PST)

US seeks allies for war on terror

US Vice-President Dick Cheney has urged all countries to join his country in promoting democracy in Iran and the wider Arab world.
He said this was the key to winning the global war against terrorism.
Mr Cheney was speaking at the World Economic Forum in the Swiss ski resort of Davos on Saturday.
His trip is part of a concerted diplomatic effort by Washington to mend soured transatlantic relations in the wake of the war against Iraq.

For diplomacy to be effective, words must be credible, and no one can now doubt the word of America.

2. Hey, Dick-less! How are things on planet Oh Right Sure?
UnFREEPIN'believable!

Reminds me of the not-so-bright White House staffer, who must have said, "Mr. Lincoln, I got you some great tickets for the theater tonight!"

Surely, the UN will not fall for Cheney's election-year plot!

3. You are pitching the wrong product Dick Cheney
The world is not buying your terror product anymore. The world is pulling back from fullfilling your self-fulfilling wish to drum up terror to drum up your business interests.

Give up Cheney trying to sell the planet your death machines and your shit. The world wants to concentrate its energies on eliminating poverty, promoting truth and justice. Sell them that.

4. You are so right! Murder and theft - that's all they know and..........
they are trying to fob it off as bringing freedom and democracy to the world. The world already sees through their scams. Look at Blair. He is so exposed and hated. No one forgets that the US was in it with Blair. The corruption is just bottomless.

5. Isn't this the guy that
was a long time resident of Texas till someone read the part of the Constitution that said that the prez and VICE prez weren't supposed to be from the same state?
Isn't this one of the guys that is profiting handsomely from the so called war on terror with his strong ties to the no-bid company supplying the war?
Isn't the country this guy is helping to administrate, by virtue of his USSC appointment, have, by far the most WMD of any country in the world with an active PROGRAM to research and develop more?

What about the freedom fries? What about the cheese eating surrender monkeys? What about the UN irrelevancy? How about the countries mentioned in the SOTU?

I don't understand. Are you attempting to (gasp) remove the politcal boot from your mouth?

8. Is Cheney trying to get his foot out of his mouth?
Edited on Sat Jan-24-04 11:22 AM by Jack Rabbit
If so, he's doing a lousy job of it.

He's still running around saying WMDs will be found. Anybody who still believes that should by handed an spade, escorted to the next flight to Baghdad and told to start looking.

9. From Cheney's mouth:
"Democracies do not breed the anger and the radicalism that drag down whole societies and export violence," he said."

Bush's regime has bred anger and radicalism, torn down a society, and exported plentry of violence. Is Dick acknowledging it didn't get its power through democracy?
