400 Kraftmaid Workers To Lose Jobs (OH)

MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio -- More than 400 workers at a local business will lose their jobs.

Salaried and hourly workers at Kraftmaid Cabinetry received layoff notices on Friday.

They all work at one of the three Ohio plants located in Middlefield and Orwell.

The company said the layoffs are necessary to help maintain Kraftmaid's budget.

Their product is pretty crappy, compared to its reputation.

I had to take mine down after 4 years and re-glue all the joints.

It's not the employee's fault anymore than Iraq is ours. Shit rolls downhill.

3. That's sad to hear.
I had a few Kraftmaids in a kitchen in the mid 70s, replaced some other shoddy cabinets. They were the best thing in the kitchen after the new stove.

5. As usual...
In a few days, it'll be reported that they'll be opening a plant in Mexico or China. When it happens....I'll post it here. I see this happening all too often.

6. My friends and I have friends who moved from Ohio.
They still have relatives there. They say that the state's in a depression.
