Rove Teases Press Corps "Weenies"
James Carville has said that the W.H. press corps would line up if Karl were handing out dog biscuits."

Members of the "travel pool" -- the reporters and photographers who actually travel with the president on Air Force One -- normally arrive early and get in position outside the plane to watch the president alight, so they can capture his deportment.

Yesterday, because of the foul weather, the pool was instructed to stay inside so that workers could de-ice the plane just before the president arrived for his quick trip to Little Rock.

As designated print pool reporter Edwin Chen of the Los Angeles Times wrote in his briefing to his colleagues, "the pool's absence on the tarmac as POTUS arrived did not go unnoticed."

Senior adviser and White House political guru Karl Rove himself popped his head into the press cabin and snarled, "Weenies!"

Chen described Rove's demeanor as "mocking disdain. . . . In the same vein, he also offered to take orders for hot drinks and blankets, as press secretary Scott McClellan smiled benignly."

Shortly afterward, Rove returned, "this time with pen and paper, again asking to take orders for hot drinks. . . .

"In Little Rock, on the tarmac, your pool had a third encounter with Mr. Rove," Chen wrote. " 'Oh yeah, you can get off the plane when it's 62 degrees,' he said with a laugh as he walked to the staff van."

Affection or hostility? You decide.

2. Whoops big mistake-the press has kept W/Rove afloat
Going back to the campaign (see film "George and Me")they never reported on his actual history

NE upbringing prep school education
Showed him as a cowboy/every man
Didn't bring up military record (only 49 articles vs. 13,000 on Clinton during his campaign in '92)
No mention of failing to file SEC docs after selling off Harken stock before bad quarterly report came out.
Gave him a total PASS on his drug history.

Etc.

Rove must be overconfident or is losing his focus. The last thing they want to do is have reporters actually...well...reporting. The WMD questions alone could be a huge monkey wrench.

I started to notice a change just after the surprise Thanksgiving day visit to Iraq. Not only did they identify who the trusted and who they didn't I think (just my opinion) that many of the press did not appreciate being kept in the dark, literally.

If the press doesn't keep covering his tracks for him he is in worse trouble than he already is and he is in big trouble.

3. contempt
Affection or hostility? You decide.

i say it's contempt. Rove knows he's gotten away with murder, multiple times. and he knows he couldn't do it if the WH press corps were doing their job. i think that's why he holds them in contempt.

contempt, and fear that one day they may start doing their job again, and turn against him and the boy emperor.

4. He thought he was being funny.
His sense of humor is the same as George's: cruel and demeaning.

21. None of them "got it" in that department....
What little bits they have won't function.

That's why they travel the world, threatening, then attacking other countries and raining death down,. It's how they work through their sexual frustration.

It seems to me from what Clinton went through that most of the Murlkan Sheeple prefer their leaders Impotent. well, folks, when your presidential team can't "bring 'em on" in the bedroom, this is what you get. They shake their military Phalli all over the world instead....

That's the price of sleeping with the enemy. Even if they believe their career/paycheck depends on it, which is why they'll remain safely in check.

Schmucks and weenies all. No wonder they're giving the scarlet letter treatment to Howard Dean.

8. Here's an explanation...
Follow the link. It's a pretty good article that explains a lot about not only the media's relationship with Bush, but also society's generally forgiving attitude toward a system that's been screwing them from Day One.

9. For once I agree with Karl
He's right. The press corps is a bunch of weenies who bow down to Smirk, explain away his idiocy and deceit and are entitled to nothing but derision.

10. They ARE weenies..
Karl Rove was NOT elected, yet he seems to be dictating a lot of policy.. He is not required to even answer questions.. The press had better start stepping up to the plate.. The gang of thugs in the WH would love nothing more than to eliminate them compeletely..

They may wait too long ..

11. A vision out of Green's "Doctor Fisher of Geneva"...
...with the sadist making the worms crawl for their supper.

Well, for once, I must hand it to these fascists. There is nothing that the travel pool so richly deserves as to be degraded by their masters.

Members of the "travel pool" -- the reporters and photographers who actually travel with the president on Air Force One -- normally arrive early and get in position outside the plane to watch the president alight, so they can capture his deportment.

They'd learn as much by sifting his stool.

20. He Hit Me (It Felt Like A Kiss) by Gerry Goffin & Carole King:
This one goes out to the Merry Murkin Media Hos who can't get enuff a dat pimp-slap stuff! All together now:

He hit me
And it felt like a kiss.
He hit me
But it didn't hurt me.

He couldn't stand to hear me say
That I'd been with someone new,
And when I told him I had been untrue

He hit me
And it felt like a kiss.
He hit me
And I knew he loved me.

If he didn't care for me
I could have never made him mad
But he hit me,
And I was glad.

Yes, he hit me
And it felt like a kiss.
He hit me
And I knew I loved him.
And then he took me in his arms
With all the tenderness there is,
And when he kissed me,
He made me his.

dbt
"Arf," he said.
