Indiana Gay Marriage Amendment Dies
http://www.365gay.com/newscon04/01/012704indBan.htm

Democrats in the Indiana legislature have effectively blocked a bill that would see the state constitution amended to ban same-sex marriage.

Rep. Scott Pelath (D-Michigan City) chairman of the House Rules and Legislative Procedure Committee has announced that the measure will not make it to the floor of the Democrat-controlled House even if it passes the Republican-controlled Senate.

"With the multitude of issues we have to deal with that deal directly with people's lives, this just isn't a priority at this moment," said Rep. Scott Pelath.
