Safety deposit raids impacts "many layers of serious crime"

The Metropolitan Police in a show of its determination to attack the highest echelons of crime in the capital has raided the facilities of Safe Deposit Centers Ltd a company that provides safe deposits in Mayfair, Hampstead and Edgware.

Armed officers from CO19 were used in Operation Rize, with the Assistant Commissioner John Yates in the Daily Telegraph saying:

“This is unprecedented operation and my officers have worked tirelessly and methodically, advised throughout by leading counsel."
