Dean Accuses Rivals Of Anti-Gay E-mail Campaign
http://www.365gay.com/newscon04/01/012704deanMail.htm">365gay.com

(Nashua, New Hampshire) As New Hampshire voters prepared to go to the polls in today's primary, Howard Dean accused his rivals of waging a dirty tricks campaign that included anti-gay emailings.

Dean refused to name which campaign may have been behind the alleged spam attack. The emails, Dean claimed, said that gays were no longer welcome in the Dean camp because of "dorm-style" sleeping arrangements.

1. I'm really disappointed with what's
happened to Dean, I thought he was above such tactics. The fact that he won't name any names either is especially telling.

3. It's not a tactic
His campaign really did have email like that sent to his supporters. I've seen it from time to time ever since it cropped up a few weeks ago.

4. It Should Be Distributed Somehow
The information on who is doing this ought to be distributed somehow, whether through a leak to the blogging community (my idea) or through a leak to a media organization.

I understand the Dean camp would be loathe to "name names" and therefore fall into a finger-pointing spiral of negativity, but if you're going to bring the subject up in the first place you probably already know who is doing it, in which case that needs to be brought into the public record.

5. GOP is dying to run vs Dean
I hear lots of conservatives coming to Dean's defense these days. Is it out of the goodness of their hearts?

6. Repugs, center for growth - to make ALL Dems look bad
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 04:58 PM by emulatorloo
designed to make all Dems look bad;

Dean looks bad to those who fall for the trick.

The other candidates look bad to those who don't fall for the trick

Or that's my theory.
