TEMPER, TEMPER (Senator Reid regarding McCain: "doesn’t have the temperament to be the president")
Source: MSNBC

Senate Maj. Leader Harry Reid delivered a blunt, broadside attack on McCain’s temper in an interview this afternoon with MSNBC’s Norah O’Donnell.

McCain, he said, “doesn’t have the temperament to be the president of the United States. Everyone who’s ever worked with John McCain knows of his temper. It’s explosive to say the least.”

Reid went more macro and accused Republicans, in general, of using “Orwellian dialect.” “Whatever they say, believe the opposite,” he said.

8. Anybody have the fntasy that somebody in a crowd
does something legal but (at least to McNutso) outrageous, thereby provoking a volcanic eruption for the cameras? There would of course be amateur cameras there. There will always be amateur cameras following McSenile.

3. Republicans are saying the same thing
A July 5 NewsMax.com article quoted former Sen. Bob Smith, a New Hampshire Republican who served with McCain on the Senate Armed Services Committee, as saying, "I have witnessed incidents where he has used profanity at colleagues and exploded at colleagues . . . He would disagree about something and then explode. It was incidents of irrational behavior. We've all had incidents where we have gotten angry, but I've never seen anyone act like that."

"People who disagree with him get the ‘f*** you,'" said former Rep. John LeBoutillier, a New York Republican who had an encounter with McCain when he was on a POW task force in the House.

"He had very few friends in the Senate," said former Sen. Smith, who dealt with McCain almost daily. "He has a lot of support around the country, but I don't think he has a lot of support from people who know him well."

----

Former senator Bob Smith, a New Hampshire Republican, expresses worries about McCain: “His temper would place this country at risk in international affairs, and the world perhaps in danger. In my mind, it should disqualify him.”

4. In high school McCain's nicknames were "Punk" and "McNasty". Not exactly terms of endearment.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_life_and_military_career_of_John_McCain

In 1951, McCain enrolled at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, an academically superior, all-male private boarding school with a rigorous honor code and spartan living environment.<22> Most of the children there were sons of wealthy Southerners, from whom McCain got a glimpse of life and career aspirations outside the Navy culture.<23> Nicknamed "Punk" and "McNasty" due to his combative, fiery disposition, McCain enjoyed and cultivated that tough guy image; he also made a few friends.

President "Punk" or President "McNasty"--not exactly inspiring.

5. I hope he has a meltdown of epic proportions
I hope he has a meltdown of epic proportions on camera to include cursing, yelling, and throwing shit across the stage. I can't wait. It will be a historic moment and every voting citizen will have the opportunity to see for themselves what a POS he really is. Unless the sedate him, I doubt he'll get thru the debates without his temper flaring....

16. Yeah, but dumbass Americans will decide he is tough and feisty, and just what they like in
a man. They thought Bush's fake macho was appealing, after all.

10. And here's the irony
Barack had the kitchen sink thrown at him, and was constantly baited into acting like a scary, angry Black man, (and these tactics will most likely continue) but to no avail. McCain, with his milquetoast oratory style, is the one more likely to lose it!

19. And McCain with his "combative, fiery" style
He'll be a tougher sell than *, but they're going to try their damnedest.

This election will make 2000 look like a walk in the park. They're not going to let go of all that money and power willingly or easily.

13. There was a journalist on Democracy Now
a few weeks ago who had covered McCain for years, maybe written a book on him-I don't remember but what I remember is he said he was the SCARIEST, meanest politician he had ever met. Just outright scared to death if the dude gets in-because "bomb, bomb, Iran" isn't his idea of a joke, it's his idea of diplomacy.

18. Heh heh. Obama isn't called "No-Drama" for nothing
He doesn't act like a "drama queen" nor does he like that trait among his staff people or his campaign managers.

If he were a Dem candidate, the Reptiles would be honing in on his time as a POW... is he "mentally fit"? Anyone here old enough to remember what they did to Sen Edmund Muskie? HAs anyone ever heard a word about McCain's temper before this? Not saying he doesn't have one, but I've never heard about it til now and just find it interesting.

Want to add!! I would NEVER in a zillion years vote for him. just want to make that clear. In fact, I personally have always been a bit concerned about his mental health...
