Paul, Barr may be forging an alliance for fall election
Source: Boston Globe via Huffington Post

Signs are emerging of a possible alliance this fall between Ron Paul, the libertarian-minded rebel Republican, and Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party's presidential nominee.

The Libertarian Party plans to get Barr on the ballot in 48 states in November, and Barr could get a significant boost if a sizable number of the 1.1 million people who voted for Paul during the Republican primaries go his way. Some analysts say Barr could be a spoiler, taking votes away from presumptive Republican nominee John McCain in key swing states, including Colorado, Nevada, and his home state of Georgia.

The article also mentions Ralph Nader courting Paul supporters. He also says he's in favor of ending the war that happened because he ran in 2000.

The GOP is in complete disarray with a base disgusted with McCain. Barr may be the spoiler.

1. Woo-hoo! I'd LOVE that.
With Barr (with Paul's help) drawing off the more Libertarian breed of Repuke, the Repugs will get precisely the same treatment the left did in 2000 and 2004. Let THEM have a spoiler for once.

2. A Barr/Paul ticket
would sink McCain. It would pull away the 3-5% to pull him down enough.

I hope it happens

4. Hmm. Did they discover they underlined the same passages in Ayn Rand?
