IRAQ: State Department reminds Americans to stay away
Source: LA Times

The State Department is just out with its annual plea to Americans to stay away from Iraq.

The warning, issued by the U.S. Embassy in neighboring Kuwait, is blunt: ''Despite recent improvements in the security environment, Iraq remains dangerous, volatile and unpredictable. ...

"Remnants of the former Baathist regime, transnational terrorists, criminal elements and numerous insurgent groups remain active throughout Iraq."

The heavily-guarded Green Zone in Baghdad, where the U.S. Embassy is located, is not immune to attacks. "Such attacks can occur at any time.''

Lets see... 6000 year of old history, some of the oldest city's in the world.. Treasures from more than 6000 year of history.. And so on, and so on... Iraq was not bad an country.. Even under the dictatorship of mr Hussain... But after O dear Leader GWB was coming into play Iraq are indeed an dangerous place to be...

But hey, why bother of the cradle of our civilization, our cradle of almost everything we take for granted today.. Screw the poor iraqi, who don't understand that US is right, always:sarcasm: Even if it means destroying the whole country

If it have been peace in Iraq, I would definitely have taken the time, to visit Iraq, and tour all the old ruins... But then I am interesting in history... and buildings..

7. Well DAMN
We'd better evac all those American military personnel who are in Iraq as we speak ASAP. Not safe for Americans, they should pack up and leave. Right?

10. My immediate thoughts when I read that.
If it is not safe for Americans, what are we doing there? And aren't we the ones that made it unsafe? My next question is: Is it safe for Iraqis? Perhaps we should be working on that instead of our "proposed victory". :grr:
