Second President Bush floats prospect of a third (Jeb Bush)
Source: CNN

(CNN) – For the first time in nearly three decades, there won’t be a Bush on the presidential ballot this November. But that absence may not be a permanent one, the current White House occupants hinted Sunday.

President Bush was asked by a SkyNews correspondent whether the end of his term marked the end of the Bush presidential dynasty that began with his father’s Oval Office tenure 20 years ago.

In response, Bush singled out his brother, who has often been mentioned as a possible Republican presidential contender. "Well, we've got another one out there who did a fabulous job as governor of Florida, and that's Jeb,” he said. “But you know, you better ask him whether or not he's thinking of running. But he'd be a great president."

...

During the SkyNews interview, first lady Laura Bush added that public service was an "unbelievable” life.

"One of the reasons George and his brother, Jeb, served in office is because they admired their father so much," she said.

Asked whether that meant her husband was not “the last Bush," she responded: “Well, who knows. We'll see."

53. Did he really say that?
From his lips, to God's ears.

I think Jeb was actually the choice to run in 2000 over his drug-addicted knucklehead brother, but unfortunately Jeb's wife and children were off the rails at the time. I've no doubt that we'll see him on the ticket sometime in the future.

'Cause that's how long it's going to take the country to get over its current case of "Bush fatigue," I'm guessing.

6. The plan is to bag Obama for 4 years and blame him
for all the fallout from the disastrous policies of the preceding eight years and then run Jebbie in 2012 as the country's lord and savior, a man who will restore us to the glories of the gilded age and cowboy swagger.

It's really too bad Florida is such a conservative state. Were it not, likely we'd have multiple investigations into dear Jebbie. We'll have to hope that a Democratic Congress starts looking into things like his seizure of all records from the "flight schools" that produced the 9/11 hijackers and their subsequent disappearance.

Jebbie's up to his eyeballs in crime family business. The time to start fighting his candidacy is 2009 and I hope the new Congress realizes it.

10. The press is going to find its "media attack dog" identity once the Democrat takes over
It's going to be like 1993 again. That does not *necessarily* mean that they will be successful in promoting the gop over the Democrats again, though.

9. Who on earth would imagine this country could tolerate another Bush?
The first one was nothing to write home about, for chrissakes, and we still don't know the extent of the damage he's done, since W. had all his documents made off-limits to the American public.

Over our dead bodies!

She's a wet drunk.
Just like her cowardice husband and Nazi father-in-law. And Jeb--oh yeah the one that can't keep his ding dong in his pants and likes to have an occasional cocktail--before breakfast, well Hell why not put another dimwit drunken Bush in the White house. Public service is so "unbelievable." Maybe she can get Jeb to appoint Jenna Ambassador to some foreign country--like New Mexico.

They just don't get it. And they never will. From Bar and her comments about how well the Katrina evacuees were doing to Poppy's life-long dream to see Jebby in the Oval Orifice, this is one family that really needs to know that George W. should be "the last Bush."
