ESSEX JUNCTION -- There have been more layoffs at IBM’s Essex Junction facility this summer than any other time in the past five years.
Wednesday, IBM told a dozen Essex Junction employees their jobs would be eliminated in 30 days.
These job cuts come less than six weeks after 90 semiconductor manufacturing and testing jobs were eliminated at IBM’s Vermont plant. Seven positions were also shed in May.
