Report: Specter Done With Spygate
Source: WBZ-TV

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Sen. Arlen Specter told the Philadelphia Daily News he's done with Spygate.

Specter told the paper's editorial board Monday that "I've gone as far as I can," looking into allegations that the New England Patriots taped other teams' defensive signals.

Specter, the senior Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, wanted an independent investigation of the Patriots similar to the Mitchell Report on performance enhancing drugs in baseball.

He told the paper the Judiciary Committee already has "too much to do."

4. WHY is the senate investigating football teams observing other teams?
what in the hell does that matter to anyone, seriously? don't all teams check out what their opponents are doing?

(note: I don't watch sports, don't care about any of them. but even I can figure out that teams watch each other. sheeesh, what a waste of taxpayer dollars)

did somebody lose a lot of money on these games or something?

6. I'm with you on this!
Why isn't this caring senator looking into the wanton waste and undelivered promises from the Katrina disaster? Like I give a big, stinky crap about one sports team cheating to get an edge. What the hell??? - They're just emulating what they see going on in the nation's capitol!

My wife's famous apple pie drew a tie at the county fair. She's certain someone got ahold of her secret recipie. Hey! Can we get a federal investigation into this??? :sarcasm:

5. Oh, that Arlen!
Always on top of the pressing issues of our age.

Shrter version of this story: Specter packs it in because there was no more publicity and deflection of attention to milk.
