Exhibit slamming eight years under Bush begins U.S. tour
Source: Breitbart.com AFP

An exhibition slamming the legacy of US President George W. Bush was unveiled Tuesday in Washington in a 45-foot (15 meters) long, 28-ton bus parked just steps from the White House.

Emblazoned on the side of the bio-diesel powered bus are the words "The Bush Legacy," and bullet points to highlight, in the words of organizer Americans United for Change, "how eight years of failed conservative policies" under Bush have damaged the United States.

"The idea is not to bash Bush as an individual but to show that he had help from Congress in creating all of the disasters you see in this bus," Julie Blust, press secretary for the exhibition told AFP.

The bus is to set off on Wednesday on a five-month tour of 150 US cities and towns. Inside, a steady stream of visitors walked on a red and white timeline of the Bush years, starting with his swearing-in on January 20, 2001.

Interactive exhibits on the walls of the bus call for reflection on what the group has deemed the "worst policy failures" of the Bush administration, such as a collapsed healthcare system, the "endless Iraq war," record fuel prices, or the handling of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

2. Failed policies? How dare they?!
In the 89 interminable months of the Bush administration, the stock market has soared an average of almost 14 points a month, each and every month! Why, it's practically unprecedented. You sure didn't see increases like that during the Clinton administration, boy.

6. I recall a similar bus...that was set on fire at a truck stop.
Don't remember the details, only that someone parked a liberal-theme bus at a bus stop and someone set it on fire. I don't expect this one will make more than five stops.

I expect the security for this one will be *sufficient,* to say the least.

12. Pardon me if I doubt that very much.
Idealistic, thin, intellectual liberal folk - even ones tending the bus 24/7/365 - will have to face Neanderthal Limbaugh-fan truck drivers who were weaned on paint thinner and believe Jesus wants them to kill homosexuals, lesbians and Democrats. I don't think there's any basis for security.

My best hope is that nobody dies when the bus is burned, but I wouldn't even think that is probable.

It may have been arson, or not. Nevertheless, there will be sufficient security. BTW, what makes you an expert on the behavior of Neanderthals? Or of liberals, for that matter? I do agree however that some of the negative-IQ types could become enraged at the thought that Boosh just might be a total fraud. A few progressive Harley riders accompanying the bus just might be enough to discourage messin' with the vehicle.

16. Well, we'll see, won't we?
Have you ever been at a truck stop outside the big cities? Like, say, the ones on I-75 in Georgia and Tennessee? There's LOTS of Neanderthals there. And if you don't know how much people in certain parts of the country hate anybody with a progressive cause, you haven't been in certain parts of the country.

But we'll see which one of us is right. I just know I wouldn't put anyone I love on a bus with the potential of having a Klansman throw a live rattlesnake through the window. (Which is a popular sport in the rural sections of Florida, especially when the driver of the car is black.)

19. Anti-Bush group motors exhibit into Dayton (Bush Legacy Bus will tour 150 cities)
Source: Dayton Daily News

The Bush Legacy Bus will tour 150 cities in effort link John McCain to president's policies.

DAYTON — An advocacy group brought the Bush Legacy Bus to Dayton on Wednesday, June 25, the first stop on a five-month, 150-city tour designed to bash President George Bush's record and to paint presumptive Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain with the same broad brush.

"It's very powerful to see the timetable and cause and effect of so many of the administration's failed policies," said Marlene Ostrow, 49, who traveled from Cincinnati to see the bio-diesel-powered rolling anti-Bush museum at Courthouse Square in downtown Dayton.

Displays in the bus include timelines, videos and photographs outlining what the advocacy group, Americans United for Change, believes are the Bush Administration's disastrous policies and actions.

Displays covered Iraq, the economy, Hurricane Katrina, health care, workers' rights and education. A large old-fashioned style gas pump sat at the back of the bus, with an electronic display that could determine the annual cost of gas to a consumer. Atop the pump was a round sign with a large "W" in the middle and the words "Bush Cheney Oil," and at the bottom, and one that said "GOP Grand Oil Party."

Asked to react to the group's message, Republican National Committee spokeswoman Blair Latoff said, "The last thing Ohioans want or need is a bus full of professional partisans rolling into town and tearing people down. Ohio needs leadership and they are looking for someone like John McCain who has demonstrated the capability and willingness to work on both sides of the aisle to get things done."

Pity. The bus will be burned long before it gets to Orlando.
I'm guessing by July 4 weekend or so, in a truck stop, just like the other bus. I just hope nobody on the bus dies. Neither in the fire, nor in the Klansman/redneck firefight that occurs before the fire is set.
