He's there to vote on the Medicare bill and break the filibuster. My respect just magnified.

7. Meanwhile McSame....
doesn't bother to show up for either of the votes today. Kennedy shows up despite his surgery and ongoing treatment, McSame has missed 62% of the votes this session. Just sayin'.

12. What's really jawdropping is that in the time since Tim Johnson's brain hemorrhage,
McCain's missed more votes than he has. This is a guy who missed 9 months of work due to serious (though temporary) brain damage! And he still beats McCain in attendance...

11. Great. Throw him a fish.
If he could make it in for Medicare (also an important bill) why not FISA arguably a more important bill.

I'm still pissed off at Obama and the cowards on the left that voted against the Constitution

13. Because......
he was likely informed that it wouldn't have made a difference. Both chemo and radiation are exhausting. He's a 76-year-old man who just went through major brain surgery, has brain cancer and is undergoing rigorous treatment. It most likely would have been too long a day for him. I'm impressed that he did what he did.

Have a heart!

Just pissed off about the whole damned betrayal

So they should only vote when they can win ?

But it would have been one hell of a statement if he had been there - to vote - either way.
