We had our own presidential campaign cover in the works, which explored a different facet of the Politics of Fear, but we shelved it when The New Yorker’s became the “It Girl” of the blogosphere. Now, however, in a selfless act of solidarity with our downstairs neighbors here at the Condé Nast building, we’d like to share it with you. Confidentially, of course.

1. Not nearly as bad as obamas.

No beer.
No 527's.
No Lobbyists.
No Savings & Loans.

But it's a start.

5. Vanity Fair is the only magazine I subscribe to.

It's surprisingly cheap and has great political articles.

6. I like the Constitution being burned in the fireplace.

That is a nice touch. And, yes, McCain's age and obvious confusion about what is going on TODAY and his backward view of the universe make me very afraid. Very afraid.

Having a doddering old man in the White House is terrifying. Remember Reagan. And Cindy McCain is no Nancy Reagan. She is far, far, far worse.
