Big crowd gathers for House Judiciary hearing on Bush "impeachment"
Source: Politico

A boisterous crowd has already gathered for today's hearing in the House Judiciary Committee on the case for impeaching Presidnent Bush and Vice President Cheney.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) has been leading the charge on the issue, and although Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) have said there will be no formal impeachment hearings, they've given Kucinich and his allies a session today to make the case.

There are at least 100 people on line to attend the hearing, and the committee has announced that there will be two "overflow" rooms to accomodate everyone who wants to watch the proceedings.

...

But the Capitol Police aren't expect a lot of problems during today's session. ""This is a happy crowd," once Capitol Police officer told another as they discussed arrangements for the hearing. "They love what is happening here so it shouldn't be too bad."

3. Of course he won't be impeached!
The Democratic "leadership" has already stated that this one hearing is for show only.

15. It will put it solidly into the congressional record.
And that can be referred to when they are tried for war crimes at some glorious future date. Even if they never are tried for their multiple egregious crimes against humanity, history will be able to reference these proceedings and judge for itself.

14. It looks pretty serious to me.
Just at a glance I can see it looks like Kucinich, Mrs. Kucinich, and Conyers
haven't slept in three days.

24. We need more Kucinich's and less Pelosi's
It's a shame that when we throw tons of GOP'rs out in November, we can't throw the leadership out and get some good blood in there like Kucinich and McGovern and some others.

16. This all show for US citizens who dared complain that
the Democratic majority in Congress wasn't standing up to the bush. (Congress's approval ratings are lower than the bushes.) But, can they keep the genie in the bottle once they let it out in the house? We'll see.

They certainly put the genie back in the bottle when some Senators objected to the 2004 election theft and forced the congress to vote on it.

also, improper claims of executive privilege being used to hide illegal exec. activities. Subversion of Constitution.
