Russia hits back after McCain's G8 threat: official
Source: AFP

MOSCOW - A top Russian diplomat on Tuesday dismissed US presidential hopeful John McCain's threat to expel Russia from the G8, saying he should get himself elected first and brushing off the prospect of expulsion.

'We can afford to cut off relations with any of our partners if that's what they want.... We're not interested in what McCain has to say. Let him become president first, then we'll listen to him,' the diplomat told reporters.

'We want the American electorate to answer for the choice it will make.... At the moment, they are turning Russia into a scapegoat for the mistakes of their foreign policy,' said the diplomat, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The United States 'is on the verge of an existential crisis,' he added.

The more people who point that out - the more chance that it will break through our Ministry of Information.

13. The most important quote of this article:

"The United States 'is on the verge of an existential crisis,' he added."

Now THAT should bring shivers to everyone who reads this article.
Dire implications.
This means that the world a) sees what's going on with the U.S. economy and b) they are getting ready for some kind of collapse.

Financial Instability leads to political instability.
Because of our problems, this is going to lead to a lot of instability, as countries try to figure out what's coming. I wonder, who will emerge if we topple? Probably countries with a lot of natural resources like Russia, Iran, Venezuela. Europe should do better than the U.S., but you never know.

Scary times.
Thanks for posting:smoke:
