Appearing before an overflow crowd of between 200 and 300, including 10 to 20 veterans, at an American Legion post here, Clark repeatedly attacked the Bush administration but did not criticize any of his Democratic rivals by name.

Drawing loud cheers, Clark called the Bush White House the "most closed, secretive, nasty administration" he knew of. "I think they're a threat to democracy itself with its control of the media."

Answering a question from the audience earlier, Clark said that because of increasing consolidation of media conglomerates, "the media's shutting out voices of dissent in this country."

2. Bush has been hiding things for years.
He really needs to be accountable for his actions. It is ashame, he was/is able to get away with the things he had/has gotten away with and still hold the top office in the United States.

3. I'm very upset at the whole thing
with Clark being shut-out of news reporting on the networks for days even weeks at a time. It is now becoming unlikely he can make the gains he needed to in the South and West. Someday I hope there will be a good investigative piece written about his candidacy and what exactly went on between his campaign and the national media.

4. The media and * are terrified of Clark
That's why they keep him out of the spotlight. He would rock this country once elected - they will do all in their power to prevent that from happening!

6. Yahoo - Love The "w/it's control of the media"
part. Thank God someone said it. Too bad it won't be reported on Bush's broadcast media machine.
